"The fisherman and his soul" by Oscar Wilde

     I read the book "The Fisherman and his soul". This story was written by Oscar Wilde.
     I decided to choose this book because our english teacher recommended this author to us and to be honest I have never ever heard of this author, except that, the title was really interesting and I wondered what this story is about.

                                     The main character is, as you can guess, a fisherman.
One day, when he was fishing as always, he also caught something unusual. I will not say what it was, however by this unusual something his life has changed. Fisherman even got rid of his soul. From that time, the soul came to him every year and.. what happened to his soul?

   This story creates a reflective mood, especially in the direction of love.   

              It shows that love can appear suddenly
             It shows that love can survive everything
            It shows that love can overcome stereotypes

The Trumpet of the Swan by E.B.White

I read book called ''The Trumpet of the Swan'' by E.B. White.

I decided to read this book because I wanted to started with lite and pleasing book. I never heard about this author and that's the second reason why I wanted to read this story. I borrowed this book from library from my school.

''The Trumpet of the Swan'' is a story about the family of swans, in which a small swan is born, which is unable to bring out any sound. The newborn swan can't say anything, sing and trumpet. Swan was very sad because he wouldn't be able to sing his feelings or talk to other birds. However nothing prevents the swan to start trumpeting because his dad helped him and also helped by a boy called Sam.

While I was reading this book I I wrote in a notebook a few sentences. Especially:

..The world is full of talkers, but it is rare to find anyone who listens. And I assure you that you can pick up more information when you are listening than when you are talking''

 In my opinion this book is very emphatetic because teaches love and respect to animals. 

It also shows how to care for a human in need but in this book helped swan. Although this book dates from the children's fiction, it is worthwhile reading this, unimportant how many years we have. When I reading this book I remembered with many values in the life. I recommend this history because is inducing to reflections.

"The Picture of Dorian Gray" by Oscar Wilde

The Picture of  Dorian Gray is a novel written by Irish writer Oscar Wilde. It follows a story of a young man - Dorian Gray who is extremaly handsome and sells his soul to a portrait in order to always remain young and beautiful.

I think this book is very interesting. It has the universal meaning which is that sometimes it's easy to forget about values like intelligence and respect for other people when we are paying attention only to the appearance. Dorian had to pay a big price for his wish to always look perfect.

I really enjoyed this book. Mostly beacuse I wanted to know what is going to happen to Dorian and other characters at the end. For some people it may be a little controversial but I highly recommend to read it, because It's  very good written and It's something a little bit different than things we can read these days.

The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain

The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain is an 1876 novel about a young boy growing up along the Mississippi River. I read this book, because I like this type of novels.

   It is set in the 1840s in the fictional town of St. Petersburg where Twain lived as a boy. In the novel Tom has several adventures, often with his friend, Huck. Tom Sawyer lives with his Aunt Polly and his half-brother Sid. Tom is slim and tall. He has dark, short hair and big blue eyes. He dresses blue pants, white shirt and a straw hat. Tom doesn't like going to school, but in reality he is smart and clever boy. 

One day Tom fall in love with Becky Thatcher, a new girl in town....

I really like this novel. It was very easy and surprising, reading her is a great pleasure. I like it very much, because there are many funny and surprising moments.
If you like stories like this, you must read this book. It's worth your time.

"A Study in Scarlet" by Conan Doyle

One month ago I read an amazing book called "A Study in Scarlet" by Conan Doyle.I decided to read it because I love a TV series called "Sherlock" witch is based on this book.It's a detective novel and it was written in 1886.Conan Doyle wrote it at the age of 27 in less than three weeks!I find this very impressive.

''The Sign of Four'' by Conan Doyle

,,The Sign of Four'' is detective book written by Conan Doyle. I read this book three week ago.  I chose it because I adore detective stories. ,,The Sign of Four'' is another book that tells about adventures Sherlock Holmes.

The story is about private detective Sherlock Holmes and his best friend John Watson who they're unriddling mysterious disappearance father's Mary Morstan. From the disappearance of her father, she gets a letter with a pearl every year. The last letter was a proposal to meet a mysterious sender. The woman asks for help from the Sherlock and Watson because the letter was written not to signed the police up. While unriddling, they come across the track of the sign of four and try to find out how is related to the disappearance father's Mary. 
   
I think that book is very interesting. The book is overcrowd of mystery and adventure. The author apply a lot of plot twists and unexpected events.
 
I really recommended that book. The book will go down well with anyone who likes detective story.

Time Machine by H.G.Wells

"Time Machine" is a science fiction novel written by H.G.Wells. I read this book one month ago. I decided to read this novel, beacuse my friend recommended it to me.
